We're glad you are interested in St. Matthew's Guild of Historical Performers. This page will tell you a little about St. Matthew's, our goals and activities.

St. Matthew's Guild of Historical Performers is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation. Our main goal is educational outreach; we go into schools and the community at large to teach about "the way it was" in Renaissance Britain. In addition, every year St. Matthew's offers an Educational Scholarship to an exemplary young faire participant.

Another goal of ours is to have fun as members of the guild. We travel to other Renaissance Faires all over Northern California and we get together regularly to socialize and share our enthusiasm for the English Renaissance.

One of the things that makes St. Matthew's such an exciting and dynamic group is the variety of activities we offer to our members; there's always something going on. Two such groups are the Plague Rat Dancers and the Parish the Thot Singers.

Joining St. Matthew's is easy; we have membership dues of $20.00 per year for individuals and $35.00 per year for families (immediate family living in the same residence). All members-in-good-standing are entitled to free admission ('gatelisting') to all faires St. Matthew's travels to.

The regular guild meetings take place on the third Saturday of each month. The time and location of the next guild meeting will be listed in the Calendar.
